To be a good shorthaired cat owner, you need these five facts to help you understand them!

• They can have lots of different fur designs. My favourite fur on a cat is ginger because it reminds me of my cat Raymond.
• These cats are also known as Moggys because they haven’t been bred on purpose.
• Domestic shorthairs are the most common cat breed in this country.
• They travelled with the American settlers as rat catchers to help keep families safe and free from disease.
• The cats can have green, blue, hazel, or gold coloured eyes.
